- Is the Free tier really free?
- Yes. The Free plan is perpetual — there is no trial period and no credit card required. You get a monthly message cap, full access to core chat features, and the ability to connect your own provider API keys.
- What counts as a message?
- Each request you send to an AI model counts as one message. Regenerating a response, editing and resending a prompt, or using a tool within an agent workflow each count as one message. System-level health checks and UI actions that do not call a model do not count.
- What happens when I hit my monthly cap?
- You will see a notification when you are approaching your limit. Once the cap is reached, new requests are paused until the cap resets at the start of the next month.
- Do I need my own API keys?
- Yes — The Chat Agent is a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) platform. You connect your API keys from OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Your keys are encrypted at rest and never shared.
- When will Pro and Team be available?
- The Free plan is available today. Pro and Team are planned and not yet purchasable — the features and limits shown for them are indicative and may change before launch. Start on Free now, and your conversations, agents, and workflows will carry over when paid plans arrive.
